Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark celebrates her victory against Halep of Romania
6-2 on Saturday to reach the final of the Porsche Grand Prix for the
second time.
The fourth-seeded Wozniacki recovered quickly from the dropped second
set as she broke a 1-1 tie with four unanswered games for 5-1. She
then missed three match points on serve but wrapped up matters in the
next game when number two seed Halep hit long after 2 hours 58
minutes.
In Sunday's decider Wozniacki meets either German Angelique Kerber or
American Madison Brengle.
"I feel great physically," Wozniacki said. "I was too passive at the
(first three) match points, but in general the match was very good."
Wozniacki is bidding for her second title of the year and 24th
overall. She lost the 2011 Stuttgart final against German Julia
Goerges.
