Chandler Parsons scored 13 of his 22 points in the final quarter, including a key jumper with 13 seconds left, and the visiting Dallas Mavericks outlasted the Oklahoma City Thunder 134-131 on Wednesday. Russell Westbrook topped Oklahoma City with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for his 10th triple-double of the season and 17th of his career. Monta Ellis scored 26, German juggernaut Dirk Nowitzki had 19 for Dallas (46-29), which shot a sizzling 62 per cent from the field to strengthen its hold on the seventh playoff spot in the West. Anthony Morrow dropped in 32 points, while Turkish-native Enes Kanter had a career-high 30 with 16 rebounds for the Thunder (42-33), which had its lead cut to 1.5 games over New Orleans for the final playoff spot in the West. The Thunder rallied from an early 10-point deficit in the final frame to go ahead 129-128 on two free throws by Morrow with 1:45 remaining. But Parsons and Ellis scored inside to put the Mavs back on top by three. Westbrook made a pair from the stripe to bring the Thunder within 132-131. But Parsons hit a spinning jumper in the lane with 13 seconds remaining restoring the lead to three. Westbrook missed a wild straightaway 3-pointer but ran down the ball in the left corner only to miss another triple. The Mavs grabbed the rebound, and Ellis made a free throw to seal the victory. LaMarcus Aldridge had 29 points for Portland (48-26), which had won its previous four outings. - Brooklyn Nets 100, New York Knicks 90: Brook Lopez' tip-in with two seconds left, lifted the visiting Nets (34-40) over the league-worst Knicks (14-61) for their season-high fifth straight win and into a tie with Miami for the seventh playoff spot in the East. - Milwaukee Buck 95, Chicago Bulls 91: Michael Carter-Williams had 21 points with 10 rebounds, and the Bucks (37-38) beat the visiting Bulls (45-30) to remain in the sixth playoff spot in the East despite Jimmy Butler's game-high 25 points.
